Netflix launches service to the UK and Ireland
Last summer research suggested that Netflix was the single biggest driver of internet traffic in the US. However the move follows a difficult period for the company loosing 800,000 customers in the third quarter of last year. Now they have expanded their services to the UK and Ireland. Movies and T.V. shows will be available on a variety of platforms, including game consoles, smartphones and tablets.

Barnes & Noble may spin off Nook e-reader
Barnes & Noble is considering spinning off its Nook business. CEO William Lynch said in a prepared statement. "We believe it's the right time to investigate our options to unlock that value."Barnes & Noble blamed the larger losses partly on lower-than-expected sales of the Nook Simple Touch. It plans to increase its investments in its Nook line, ramping up advertising and international expansion.The kindle fire is basically taking down the nook and is a close competitor to other tablets.

The kindle fire will soon be getting updates to address some costumer complaints. The update will be an operating system that will improve speed, touch screen controls, and will give users controls over displaying recent browsing activity. Amazon spokeswoman Kinley Pearsall said via email. "In less than two weeks, we're rolling out an over-the-air update to Kindle Fire that will improve performance and touch navigation.

T-Mobile teamed up with Chinese computer company Huawei to create the SpringBoard, a sub-$200 tablet. The SpringBoard comes with a few features that Amazon's Fire doesn't include: Cameras. Equipped with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel back-facing camera, SpringBoard adopters can snap pictures at will.The SpringBoard is slated to go on sale "in time for the holidays," says T-Mobile's spokeswoman.

Fifa 12 was released on September 28. It has new features like tactical defending, precision dribbling , true injuries, and player impact that has been in development for two years. When playing the game it feels like if you were watching a real soccer game. The game speed is much slower but the improvements make the game much better.
